The Pacific Northwest region is well-positioned to become a leader in neural engineering. The growing interest is being driven by world’s leaders in implantable and neural interface devices, signal processing and machine learning, robotic technology, and research and understanding of brain function. The next few decades will see remarkable strides in the ability of technology to interface with human neural systems to improve our lives in every aspect. Our 2008 workshop with over 150 local attendees has shown a great synergy in the region. Visit our workshop page to learn more about the program and visit the people page to learn the types of people who are part of this center. We welcome new investigators and companies to join our effort in the region and worldwide.
